I’m Alexis, owner of a small kitchen in South London, a not-so-small collection of cookery books and a massive passion for real bread, damn-good cakes and more. Cooking, and baking in particular, is a great part of my Eastern European heritage, inspired by my grandparents’ homemade and lovingly crafted swirl breads, hearty stews and more.
What you should expect to find here: Comfort foods of all kinds. Bread. Baked goods, many baked goods. Lots of bread. Did I mention bread? All made from scratch and all recipes that can be re-created with no or little adaptation all over the world.
What you should not expect to find here: Molecular cuisine. Nope. None of that, sorry.
